I have a history of back surgery ( 1993).

This mourning I bent over wrong and now in a lot of pain so I applied DMSO to

area right away. The usual prognosis is 48 hours of worsening, probably due to

inflammation, followed by 2 weeks of limited movement till inflammation goes

down. DMSO should shorten this I hope?

Is DMSO an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen? Do I need to even take ibuprofen if

I use DMSO?

Anoter question is DMSO a diuretic? I seem to be going to bathroom a lot.

How many times can I apply the 70% solution today?

Is ice also advised? Heat?

How many days could I apply DMSO?

I have taken up to 5 T of MSM for an acute injury but did herx the next few days

-- headache, flu like aches. Dr in MSM the Definitive Guide mentions

taking 10 grams a day. At 4,000 mg per teaspoon I was taking about 60,000 mg or

60 grams. I reduced that to 2 T for about a week, so about 24 grams.

DMSO generally reduces healing time by about 75%, although it depends on what

tissues you are healing and what else you are doing to speed or slow the

process.

My chiropractor told me to take 2,000 mg of 3,6,9 Omegas instead of NSAIDS,

which are harmful to your mitochondria, through oxidative stress.
