Guest guest
Hi !! I just joined 2 days ago & have found this site very interesting & informative so far. I wanted to ask if anyone has been in my situation--I had decompression surgery in March 2006, a titanium plate /screws put in for cerebellum ptosis December 2007 and now have been diagnosed with inner cranial pressure and am scheduled for a shunt on December 19. I however went & got a 2nd opinion recently regarding the shunt and they were " guessing " that I may have tethered cord as my brainstem is elongated but my urodynamics test came out perfectly normal. I am now waiting on my surgeon to look at all of my scans & records from the place where I went for a 2nd opinion to see if he thinks I have any evidence of TC.Has anyone had a shunt for ICP? Or has anyone had decompression, then a craniectomy for Ptosis & still having issues ? I still have a constant headache, pain & pressure in the back of my skull, memory issues, leg weakness & fatigue. It's so frustrating because I have one surgeon telling me that a shunt is the way to go and another thinking TC-- even though they can't give me concrete evidence. I would appreciate any comments on this please !! Thanks !! Ann
