Guest guest
Has anyone experienced numbness on the back of their thigh after having surgery for tethered cord? Tasha had TC surgery over eight weeks ago. While she was still in the hospital she complained that the back of her right thigh was numb; she was told that it probably had to do with how she was positioned during surgery and that it should alleviate during recovery and as she got up and moving. Not only has it not alleviated, the area has gotten bigger to the point that she now has numbness down below her knee. I am awaiting a response back from the nurse, but thought I would ask the group and see if anyone else experienced this. Also, I wanted to post an apology to all the individuals who replied to my earlier post in regards to TC. In part, I have not really had time to post about all the aspects, but also, I have been waiting to see what symptoms are relieved by surgery and at what point. I will be posting a message shortly as to our experiences with decompression and tethered cord. Please be patient as I have to work around work, school, doctor appointments, physical therapy, and craft fairs (Tasha's work for the moment), housework, and all the other usual mundane parts of our life. Thank you for everyone who has been helpful and for all your support. Hansen
