You're right I should have gone that route. But didn't for a couple

of reasons: #1 - didn't realize how much this was going to cost and

#2 - at least these are professionals who intend to do some work on

those pictures that received water damage. So, yes, there probably

was a cheaper route - but that route would have been very time

consuming I'd imagine - and I wanted to get this project done FAST.

Someone suggested to have my mother pay for part or all of it. She is

the one who needs to spend down. I'll be doing that partially at

least - since it is something that will be going to her siblings and

her children. If it turns out that the powers that be, look and think

that was a bad decision, then I'll reimburse my mother's money. But

hopefully it won't come to that - better that money goes to someplace

that benefits the family vs. the nursing home IMO. We'll see...
