Guest guest
Hi Folks, I've just sprained some tendons in an already Lyme-problematic knee yesterday. Immediately slathered it with DMSO, iced it, and then found a wrap to support it, and hobbled painfully on crutches. Now it's doing rather better than I expected, (no more crutches) but must walk with the knee fully extended (no pain) or the pain on the flexion is excruciating and it can't bear my weight. So, I know DMSO will help, but I want to dilute it before my skin suffers, as I imagine back-of-the-knee skin won't be too forgiving. I normally use Brook's mix but that's too weak for this, so last night, I put it on straight and then slathered aloe gel over it while it was still wet. My question is: would there be any problem with simply mixing some aloe and DMSO together into a refillable roll-on and applying it that way? Will the aloe interfere with the absorption of DMSO, or is there anything in the pure aloe gel that would be undesirable if the DMSO carried it into the area? Trying to streamline therapy here. I'm assuming these two will mix, and I really don't see the difference between mixing it when applying layers directly on the body, or pre-mixing. Thanks for any info. Need to get back on my feet ASAP. Be well, Léna
