Guest guest
I wouldn't have thought so - there was a good illustration of eggs of different types - non-organic through organic and they were not terribly deep in colour in the yolks in the most organic of those illustrated - mine have everything organic and non town water and I don't reckon their yolks are a very deep yellow, that's all, & a friend with similar reckons the same .... I was wondering if turmeric would make them a deeper yellow. Jane > > can they add the coloring if they are organic? > barbara >

Guest guest
They go so well together. Pig farming is horrendous tho - haven't eaten bacon since 1976 - & then only a tiny bit to flavour stir fried brown rice - always been basically vegetarian ..... I prefer it. Jane eggs and bacon mmmmm
Guest guest
The chickens I mentioned are given additional iodine and the yolks are more orange like than store bought, but they turn their nose up at most food scraps. Not sure if there's a correlation there, or whether it's the type of chicken and other things in their environment. Guest guest
Yes, maybe. I don't feel qualified to answer, as on my part, it's just observation of a friend and I don't know detail (and nor does he, as we're not in the same reality in that sense - I study nutrition for my company for a living, and he studies because he wants eggs ). In this case in particular it is Thailand, so from a western point of view it might be seen as the same as ines, but watching it from here myself being a westerner, even a couple of kilometers can make a huge difference in the soil, weather, minerals or behaviour, so I don't want to misdirect on a topic I haven't fully mapped out. I'm curious though, and up for exploring to find answers. B > > Maybe the breed of the layer has to do with colors also.
