, I thought it would help too....someone here said it causes

constipation...didn't think that was the case...it removes parasites, etc. in

the colon.

I take mine with MSM powder and water in the morning, didn't take it this

morning.   I fear issues coming on with spinal stenosis and bowels, do so much

to keep regular.   joyce

Subject: re IBS - constipation

Hi All

Diatomaceous earth or clay (green or gray), will help with the constipation.

take one tablespoon daily, mixed in a pudding or yogurt.  I take mine in a cup

of hot cocoa sweetened with maple syrup.

I take mine in the morning and have a regular movement every morning.  soft,

with no effort to release.

google the diatomaceous earth for more details.  or, if allowed, google patrick

timpone and oneradionetwork.com

patrick does a lot of free podcasts on health items.   if you search his

website, you will get audio downloads on both clay and diatomaceous earth.

good luck

joyce, mary,

i have lyme and several co infections. one of the first symptoms with lyme

are g.i. problems, one of which is that it can cause a 'bell's palsy' of

the gut. in this case, a section of the g.i. system is paralyzed, as in it

doesn't move anything along. i have dealt with this for 30 yrs, but was

not aware of what was happening except for the last yr. (bell's palsy of

the face is caused by lyme as i understand it)

my problem is not any parasites, imbalances, etc. as i have taken care of

all this. it is the mechanisms of the gut that don't work, hence the

normal 'fixes' don't fix.

in the beginning i would occasionally use correctol. then went to herbal

as it got worse over the yrs. now, my gut didn't get worse because of the

stimulants, but the other way around. i didn't use a stimulant until i

would go up to 8 days without going. this is dangerous. as the lyme has

progressed, so has the paralyses of the gut.

i have used a qt of prune juice at a time and it did no good. have tried

the fibers, clays and everything else others have suggested and it would

make the constipation so bad i couldn't go for days, even with stimulants.

i got a professional colic and that was painful and embarrassing. so i

started doing high enemas at home. it took 2 wks to break up the blockages

in my colon.

so i have developed a program to keep things moving. every morning (or 5-7

days a wk) a do an water high enema (gentle like), then a coffee enema to

detox. i take a glucammanon (which is a fiber and is constipating, as in

blockage) to bind the toxins as the liver dumps from the c.e. then i take

10Kmg of vit c to help move things. i also use either oxy powder or senna

at night. i try to alternate. sometimes i skip them and do 'catch up'

with the morning enema. but can only miss 1 night in a row or i'm in

trouble.

i think blockages are the problem which are caused by the gut paralyses.

once the solids sits too long in the colon and too much water is absorbed

out, it gets hard and stops everything up. so, the enemas help.

so, all that to say this, not everyone can use clays. and clays (and

fibers) don't always correct constipation. we have to find out what is

causing the constipation first, then take what is needed or not take, to

help the problem.

i do wish i could use these products to bind toxins etc. they are

wonderful products. but only when i get rid of, or get control of the lyme

and my gut works will i be able to take them. i am, however, open to any

other helpful info that moves the g.i. tract.

Barbara, I take mag citrate thru the day, some days I probably take 1200mg in

capsule form.

Drinking hot water with fresh lemon in it helps too, take it before bed usually.

When I need extra help, I take Aloelax by Nature's Way.   I'm pretty regular

every day, but gotta keep on top of it...

But I am concerned about the narrowing of the spinal canal, spinal stenosis

stuff, so I'm more more on top of this...

Stopping cheese intake and less and less meats...NO BREAD whatsoever.   And

getting a grip on sweets, all kinds.   joyce

thanks joyce,

the oxy powder is high mag. that is oxygenated or something. works great

but expensive so i alternate with it to save. it is 2700+ mg, nothing less

will work.

i just recently heard about the lemon. they said 1/4 lemon, juice/blend

rind and all (organic), mix with water and drink. going to town (2 hrs

away) tomorrow and want to get org. lemons--lots.

aloelax sounds like aloe, which is suppose to work, so will look this up.

allergic to dairy so intake of cheese very low. no sugar and few

carbs--candida. breads, little. meat, well i do love a steak. we buy 'on

the hoof,' local, so do have a freezer full. but i don't consume lots at

every meal. often have a large salad for a meal, soups etc, so i think

that is ok. actually, my diet's pretty good.

thanks for reminding me of the lemons i have to get in town tomorrow.
