Guest guest
S.. I do know that DMSO is very good a minimizing scar tissue and helping to dissolve adhesions etc... I doubt that, even if you did what you are talking about, the effects would be long-lasting or permanent. One thing you might ck out is Hyaluronic Acid. It does help build up collagen, helps arthritis and seems to help minimize wrinkles. Most folks see some improvement in just a few weeks, depending on your dosage. We make a lot of HA when we are younger, not so much as we age. When you see evidence externally, know that HA is also improving things internally. I use the Vitacost brand. There are a lot of reviews. Read them... see what you think. I can promise you that HA is harmless. It was very helpful with my various aches and pains. I started out taking 3 - 100 mg caps in the am, 3 caps in the pm. Now, to maintain, I take just 2 caps in the am. http://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-hyaluronic-acid-with-biocell-collagen-ii#nutrit\ ionFacts Of course, the best things you can do for your skin are... keep it clean, minimize sun exposure, drink plenty of fresh water and eat tons of wholesome fruits and veggies (anti-oxidants). When I was younger, my skin was super oily and I never, ever needed moisterizers. Well, when I got older, I developed dry, flakey patches here and there.. ugh! I no longer have dry patches, my skin is soft and glowy looking. I do stay out of the sun. I have no complaints with HA. Lola H.
Guest guest
I agree on the HA and take 200mg three times per day for joint health and whatever else it's helping.....get the same brand Lola talks about.  Grape Seed Extract is an wonderful anti aging antioxidant and I've been taking it 17 yrs soon and my skin looks pretty darn good for 74.  Many skin companies are adding Grape Seed Ex to their products. I make up my own with a base of Aloe cream and 2 caps of grape seed extract.  Was buying swansons wrinkle cream which contains pycnogenol, but decided to make my own to save $$$.  I find DMSO irritating to sensitive skin areas.  j ________________________________ To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO Sent: Monday, August 27, 2012 10:09 AM Subject: Re: DMSO+collagen  S.. Guest guest
IF the molecular weight of the substance you're attempting to transport is greater than 1000 daltons, it won't go. The list archives have all the arithmetic that goes with figuring daltons. OR consider that the molecular weight (check the MSDS...here's one, there are many...http://fscimage.fishersci.com/msds/07770.htm) of DMSO is 78. Is there a MSDS for the compound you want to transport? How much does a molecule weigh? It'll give you a clue as to whether it can be transported. Collagen varies from source to source and it's mw will be different depending on the type/source of collagen you intend to use. > > > Hello, > > I know that DMSO helps penetrate any substance into the skin. Guest guest
Not likely to be helpful, but I raise chickens and since doing that, not only are the eggs heavenly tasting but I no longer get those damned hangnails every winter like I used to before I was eating home raised eggs from my own chickens. I attributed that to increased collagen intake from my home raised chickens/eggs. The egg yolks are orange on my eggs, not yellow.
