Guest guest
Like so many therapies it isn't a one size fits all. It wasn't my intention to imply that this is the end all cataract therapy. mentioned his success with Can-C and I added what I knew, that's all. This is why it's so great to have alternative treatments. Joyce appears to have good luck with GSE. I would prefer to avoid cataract surgery if at all possible or at least for as long as I can. Since I don't wear prescription glasses, I've never dealt with the intricacies of having to adjust ot an alteration in depth perception dealt with mechanically which from what I've read, I guess I would with such a surgery. I'm sure it's something one gets used to, but since I'm fortunate to have all my teeth and all my organs intact, I'm trying to keep myself in one piece as long as I can manage it and that includes my eyes. Until more time has passed, I won't know if the NAC drops will be the answer for me. I'm not depending on them alone for sure even though the scientific evidence seems to show it can dissolve cataracts. In addition to the drops, I have been an avid proponent of Vitamin C w/ bioflavonoids, am more recently taking LEF's Super Zeaxanthin, astaxanthin, and have done Bilberry extract in the past. A limited budget keeps me juggling supplements so I have to weigh methods closely and go by what seems to be working. Since I'm on the DMSO list to discover more uses of DMSO, I will look into Dr. Rowen's cataract recipe as that might be an excellent alternative or adjunct to the NAC drops. I'll contact my compounding pharmacist and see if they can make this up and then get my doctor to prescribe them. Thanks to Dianne for the tip. We both ended up doing cataract surgery. They were supposedly pioneered and developed by a Russian doctor.
