Guest guest
I had to get off my OPC's a 6 days before hip replacement surgery, a couple days after went right back on and my surgeon gave aspirin therarpy to keep from clotting so I was in good shape...   From the article I mentioned:  (((((Proanthocyanidin (OPC), a powerful antioxidant found in grape seeds, grape skins, strawberries and French maritime pine bark, has anti-inflammatory properties which have been shown to promote normal blood flow and thus benefit the cardiovascular system. OPC’s prevent " blood sludge " that can cause strokes and heart attacks. OPC’s work like aspirin (only better and safer) to prevent abnormal blood clotting. OPC’s may be a superior answer for those who need thinner blood (like people with arrhythmias), as a safer alternative to coumadin. ________________________________ To: " DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO " <DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO > Sent: Friday, July 13, 2012 9:30 AM Subject: Re: Pycnogenol/Joyce  I'm no scientist, but if one's blood is thick and clumpy one can be tired, fatigued and sick...some of the recent friends both in their 80-90's taking Grape Seed Ex claim more energy.  I've compared Grape Seed Ex with a swimming pool sweep/cleaner..  I have an article on another site that claims those taking Coumidin could replace it with Grape Seed Ex, but that would be with doc's blessings....most conventional MD's don't push Grape Seed Extract....  Both these older friends talked to their pharmcists before going on G.S.E. and they said " yes, it's a great antioxidant " ...  Another friend mentioned it to her rheumy and he said " sure I take it " ... ________________________________ From: Barbara Pierce <mailto:gmaoceans%40gmail.com> To: mailto:DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO%40yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 8:40 PM Subject: Re: Pycnogenol/Joyce Joyce, perfect. have had trouble with thick blood for some time now. could be a reason i don't detox well. will really give this a try. wonder if the blood thinner quality if what helps the immune system and feeling better. barbara On Thu, Jul 12, 2012 at 8:44 AM, JOYCE MARTINO <mailto:jam2006%40verizon.net> wrote: > ** > > > Barbara, I've been taking these OPC's since 1995 and I'll die taking > them....I've bought many, right now, my favorite is ActiVin 200mg Grape > Seed Extract from vitacost...., if you can 200 mg two times per day with > food if you need to. Now if you take a blood thinner, then caution. > > Give them a GOOD TRIAL if you end up taking them. > > Grape Seed cleans and thins the blood, gets rid of sticky clumpy blood. > joyce > > > ________________________________ > From: Barbara Pierce <mailto:gmaoceans%40gmail.com> > To: mailto:DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO%40yahoogroups.com > Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 7:55 PM > Subject: Re: Pycnogenol/Joyce > > i think i will get some and try it. i have several allergies, post nasal > drip, even though i avoid allergic foods. lately i'm doing a lot of > coughing and getting up phlegm. much has to do with the lyme and cos. this > may help. > > where is the best product/price you know of? Guest guest
A former co-worker of mine died of a clot-induced heart attack after prostate surgery. He was 74, but was in perfect health, holding a 9th degree black belt in Isshinryu style karate, being a teacher of that style, was an avid motorcycle rider and had perfect weight and blood pressure, etc. A strict eater of only healthy organic foods too. Just goes to show that one never knows. I have read where that is a fairly common cause of death for men in these times.
