Thanks for taking the time to write this...I will re-read it, keep it and decide

for me...I deal with joint OA issues and do take Ibuprofen and 1/2 Hydorcodone

as needed, but thought I'd try the internal DMSO....Thanks again...joyce

Have tried countless " Herbals " for joints,  New Zealand Sea Mussels being the

recent " try " ...getting a bit of help, I think.

Elevating mood would be good, pain brings one down....

I addressed your questions earlier and there is much in the archives.

Janet is THE expert so be sure and read what she writes.

You would also be advised to read Dr s web page and any of the

books he has helped write.

Once more. I take it internally to quell inflammation or to potentiate

something you mixed it with when ingesting. To paraphrase Janet, .the

substance you're trying to potentiate should be mixed with the dmso

prior to ingestion or topical application. She has mentioned some

studies (not at my fingertips but you can search) that show layering is

less effective if at all.

I would not ingest it for chronic muscle pain; find an alternative,

there are many. If your pain is a result of an accident (brother fell

down the hill, the very tall hill, and he's too old to be bouncing

about) then ingestion may work more quickly than topical application. If

you suspect stroke, ingestion will cause clots to dissolve and prevent

significant brain damage.

It is a mood elevator: you will feel good and your joints/muscles won't

hurt. You WILL likely stink but most people won't believe it unless

you're in a confined area or it's the same people around you all the

time. Last guy I know who drank half a cup--he had lost 4 hours,

couldn't smile and it sounded like a stroke--was finally diagnosed with

transient (won't see this again) global (alllll gone) amnesia (no

memory) which means they don't know what it was. You could smell the

DMSO 50 feet down the hospital hall. But he did NOT have a stroke or

anything remotely related to one.

You can add Urea pellets to water and mix them with DMSO per Dr.

Herschler's patent and that will mitigate the odor.
