Thinking About my Bathroom Again

I have kept the window open and have essential oil of juniper in a

bottle, open in there.

However, I am trying to figure out what to do. It seems the only thing

to do is have my boyfriend go in with the door closed, remove one

tile, scrape some stuff into a bag, take a digital photo of the gunk

behind the tile, and I pay for testing from mould-works. Then he

replaces the tile and grouts it up, and then I find out what the mold

is. If its black mold which it may well be (sheetrock) then its a big

deal and I can get 311 and the health dept involved (city) and the

building will have to remediate properly as they did for someone else

in the building who had various leaks. If its a lesser mold then they

will still have to remediate and I can still contact 311. I know its

dangerous to be exposed to these molds but after all my experiences

with handymen and even city workers I feel if I vacated I am not sure

I could trust how they do it. Its a small bathroom, mostly tile 3/4 of

it anyway (not the upper part or the ceiling) and has a window. It

could be well sealed off and properly remediated probably without

contaminating the rest of the place.

Others on here a few weeks ago warned me against opening it up but how

else do I prove the mold? I don't see another way to do this.

I am aware of the mold now and want to get this taken care of whatever

type of mold it is.
