Apparently xylitol is not only a laxative, it also has profound antibacterial properties. I am wondering if anyone has ever tried just adding a teaspoon or two to see if they get a stool. I know you guys love the kirkmans, maybe this is why it is so effective for so many.

my daughter is very sick right now, she was breaking a molar last week and she is now diagnosed with preorbital cellulitis9 a very serious infection of the tissue surrounding her eyes. I hope you never have to go through this, it is horrible and she has been through a lot. I have been trying to figure out why this happened because she had no sinus symptoms prior and I found an article on molars and sinus infections that lead me to this. If you suspect bacterial overgrowth, white tounge etc, you might want to look into this. It is even in trident gum

My daughter , 5, has been off Miralax for 2 weeks. Finally getting stools moving with the MOM I think it is. But, ever since stopping it, she was also on Flax Seed Meal for a couple weeks, she has graining stools that look like Miralax in them. Could she have been backed up for months and now its coming out? Also, she's got very green stools. And once she gets going its bad diaper rash again!
