Guest guest
Bill, I did a little more "digging" into the University of Alaska Department of Psychology. They just got their APA certification for doctorate level work approved retroactively back to last year, and are scrambling to align all their new first year and last year's "first" year program enrollees to make sure all matriculated students in their graduate programs are following their new academic certification guidelines. They really aren't set up nor do they appear to have a capacity to focus on adult autism. Because of their unique Native American population and major "wilderness and far-flung conditions" issues which this state educational institution is mandated to support, they'll be struggling just to meet minimum service requirements for the state's mental health needs with their newly minted full graduate program. A likely last thing they'll be interested in tackling is any kind of specialization involving autism. So, again, the best resources for adult autistic needs all across the map may simply not be met anywhere in Alaska. Tough but probably true. N.
