What do you say when good diet, good hydration, and high physical activity don't solve the problem? (For example, what do you say in a case where the toddler LOVES vegetables and eats large quantities of them every day, LOVES water and never drinks anything else, and is on her feet most of the day in a home that has no TV and no video games? Yes, such cases do exist!) Gee, if doing the obvious, thoroughly and consistently, doesn't work, maybe it's time to consult a doctor, right? Maybe there's something out of the ordinary going on, right? Obviously, your advise "should" work. What does a parent do when it doesn't? That's when the pediatrician recommends PEG (Miralax), but the point is that this may have problems/risks of its own. Although I'm sure there are many who need to listen to your advice, simply leading a healthy way of life does not always produce the desired results. Problem NOT solved. Then what?
