Letter from my congressman

I have been sending information to my U.S. senators and representatives. I

received the following letter today from one of my congressmen. I just wanted

to share this so others can see that it is beneficial to contact your

congressmen so we can get their attention on this very important health issue.

Letter from my congressman:

I appreciate you taking the time to share with me your views regarding H.R.

1268, the Melina Bill. The views of my fellow Americans are an essential

component of my decision-making process as a Member of Congress.

I understand your support for legislation that would protect the public from

dangerous mold-infested living conditions. As you know the Melina Bill was

introduced into the House of Representatives by Congressman Conyers, Jr. on

March 13, 2003 during the 108th Congress. This legislative initiative would

direct the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) along with the Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA) to jointly study the health effects of indoor mold

growth and toxic mold, and the best way to effectively address this issue. As

you know, Congressman Conyers intends to reintroduce this legislation in the

near future. Please be assured, I will keep your views in mind should the full

House consider the Melina Bill during the upcoming months of the 110th Congress.

As I mentioned, your input is vitally important to me. As always, my staff and I

Excellent - Each member of this group should have a letter of support

in hand from his/her congress person! That would be about 2000 letters!
