Guest guest
The program is excellent. I think you should ask his school to provide it and then you wouldn't have to pay for it. It is being offered in NYC schools now and many teachers are being trained in it and you can request it. , Mom to DS age 15 and age 11, Brooklyn
Guest guest
Hi Sue, I noticed his eyes immediately. Also I confess I looked for a Simean crease and there wasn't one. I didn't notice any increased floppiness. There was some pushing out with his tongue. But..he was hungry. Babies do that when they're hungry. I don't know...maybe I am just too tuned in and looking for and seeing something that isn't there. Barb Re: I have 2 questions I think it is, depending on how aware his doctor might be and how obvious the effects are. I know someone who had a homebirth and it was a few months before her son was diagnosed. I just read about a baby who wasn't diagnosed at birth, too. I think it's possible, just not as likely these days as awareness is so high. Did he have the floppiness? To me, that was the most obvious thins with Ruthie. She was actually very active at birth and scored 9 and 10 on her apgars, but if I sat her up on my lap her little head flopped forward, something that didn't happen with my other kids. What makes you think he might have it? Sue ++++++++++++++++++ Also, a friend of mine had a baby about a month and half ago and I recently visited and I held him and rocked him to sleep. A real cutie and not fussy and sleeps well at night. Anyway, I don't know if it's me but I thought he looked like he could have Ds. I left thinking I need to get therapy or something. Is it possible to have a baby with Ds and not be diagnosed at least within the first couple months? Guest guest
My friend's school uses . Her son also has DS. At the last IEP meeting they said other schools are " dying " to get it, it's so good. Other than that I've never heard of it. Di I have 2 questions Hey all, I know that Reading Programs have been discussed and I'm familiar with " Teaching Reading " and " Edmark " but was wondering if anybody is familiar with the " Reading Program " and " Sonday Reading? " I have an opportunity to get tutoring in the program over summer. My money tree is all but bare so don't want to pay for summer tutoring in (private) if it won't benefit . Also, a friend of mine had a baby about a month and half ago and I recently visited and I held him and rocked him to sleep. A real cutie and not fussy and sleeps well at night. Guest guest
I would bet that the main reason you don't hear about mold stories in St. Louis is because one of the insurance company's defense " experts " is located in St. Louis. His name is Dr. H. Wedner at Washington University in St. Louis. I would assume that Washington University keeps things quiet in that area. [] I have 2 questions doesn't toxic mold grow in st. louis missouri? wheres the news stories from there? why os lyme disease so bad there? does it have something to do with monsanto's main head quarters being there? maybe sigma chemical co.?, maybe purins co.?, maybe anheuser busch co.?, maybe the hudge chemical defenve law firm out of kansas city that has spead out to many states and is the law firms for most, if not all these major corperations? OH,I GUESS THATS MORE THAN 2,JUST ASKING CAUSE I DONT RECALL SEEING ANY MOLD STORIES FROM THERE. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
this is a good example of why we need to be putting info. like this out there. I would have liked to known this 2 years ago. when it comes right down to it, gettting these toxic mold cases to court and winning them will bring more attm. to the public than anything and it appears that here at least theres major forces trying to keep them from makeing it that far. I find it pretty damn sorry that lawyers and doctors will take advantage of brain injured people this way. > > > > I would bet that the main reason you don't hear about mold stories > in St. Louis is because one of the insurance company's > defense " experts " is located in St. Louis.
