Found some oldies but goodies: III power point: (2003) _http://server.iii.org/yy_obj_data/binary/715362_1_0/mold2.ppt_ (http://server.iii.org/yy_obj_data/binary/715362_1_0/mold2.ppt) Below is from the California Air Resource Board. _http://www.library.ca.gov/crb/06/01/06-001.pdf_ (http://www.library.ca.gov/crb/06/01/06-001.pdf) Pg 61 U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform and the Center for Legal Policy at The Manhattan Institute (sponsors). The Growing Hazard of Mold Litigation. Includes (1) “A New Plague—Mold Litigation: How Junk Science and Hysteria Built an Industry,†by Cliff Hutchinson and , and (2) “A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold,†by D. Hardin and others. July 2003. These papers present a skeptical view of, and question evidence for, health effects of typical indoor exposure to mold. Some experts believe that the ACOEM statement understates risks and effects. We have quoted it here as part of the diverse range of views on the subject. In a personal communication commenting on draft of this report (December 19, 2005), Dr. Yang cited, as conflicting with the quoted paragraph, M. Sure, and others, “Sensitization of Airborne Moulds and Severity of Asthma: Cross Sectional Study from European Community Respiratory Health Survey,†BMJ 325, (7362): 4240414. For abstract, see _www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=1219335\ 4 & dopt=Citation_ (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=\ 12193354 & dopt=Citation) . In part: “CONCLUSIONS: Sensitisation to moulds is a powerful risk factor for severe asthma in adults. This should be taken into account in primary prevention, management, and patients' education.†Put these facts together and it shows just how slick and how much money went into denying mold causes serious illness. THIS is the reason the sick can't get any kind of legitimate treatment or even recognition that mold may be the cause of their illness to this day.
