(We already know type 1 is an autoimmune system gone >haywire and attacking its own pancreas beta cells.) *****Huh...my mother was unbelievable allergic to tons and tons of stuff: perfume, paint, carpet cleaner, carpet glue, mold, smoke from fireplace fires, etc., etc....and hypoglycemic....and thyroid problems to the point where they removed it. and...ungelent (sp????) fever, resulting from drinking raw milk. After many many years of ill health, she finally died of congestive heart failure at 72. My sister has tons of allergies to perfume, paint, carpet glue, etc. as well. Before this list I had believed that because I hadn't take care of my hypoglycemia for 30 years, not to mention hardcore alcoholism, I'd become diabetic, and while, this is true - I think it also stems from hereditary. My daughter also has some of those allergies. Mine seem confined to metal, seasonal sneeaing and the sun. Barb -------- Rainbow Farm Unltd.
