Hi Missy,

I'm in NY too and hope that things have changed with WC since the

change in political parties. Of course, Hitlary hasn't done a damned

thing to help anyone or respond to anything she doesn't have a form

letter for. Everyone is in collusion here: the state, your employer,

and WC - even WC advocates. Watch out for them.

The weight gain is the norm (30 lbs.) for mold victims. It's very hard

to lose and can lead into diabetes type 2. Diet and exercise are the

only ways to lose, but who has the energy to exercise? I don't. Try to

keep the sugars and starches to a minimum (help! I love pizza and

bread). It's been 10 years since my exposure and I'm just starting to

lose weight. It's very hard.

My prayers go out now to you and other mold victims for total

recuperation and a miracle cure for mycotoxin damage.

m> hi everyone,

m> I have been working with my primary care physician (who knows nothing about

mold, but

m> it very caring and open to learning) and my environmental specialist (who I

see regularly

m> for workman's comp). I don't believe they are working well in tandem...they

have never

m> spoken on the phone about my case and when I have symptoms and don't know if

they're

m> a cold or from exposure to something (I have the standard Multiple Chemical

Sensitivity,

m> Respiratory issues, etc), I usually just go to my regular dr bc my

environmental dr is hard

m> to get an appt with quickly. I just purchased Dr Shoemaker's book and am now

reading

m> about CSM, which my environmental dr has never mentioned. I have also gained

appx 30

m> pounds since being exposed and trying desperately to take it off....I see

from Dr

m> Shoemaker's book this is not that easy either. I live in the NY metro area

and wonder if

m> anyone has a dr recommendation that can treat me in a more holistic manner.

I'd also like

m> to know your experiences with CSM and weight issues. How did CSM help you,

if at all?

m> What have you been able to do to return to your normal weight?

m> Overall, I am trying to take the philosophy at this point that I have this

permanent illness

m> and must learn to embrace it bc being angry at it and my employer for not

taking my pleas

m> for help about the moldy bldg I worked in seriously (they essentially ignored

me) is not

m> healthy either...it consumes me if I allow it to. I figure that this illness

is here to teach me

m> something, so I better start learning! Perhaps my path in life is to be an

advocate for

m> people exposed to toxin in sick bldgs? Who knew! :) Anyway, I'd appreciate

your

m> experiences and guidance on this one.

m> On another note, I will be interviewed by the local newspaper about my side

of the story. I

m> am going to tell the truth as I know it and hope that the many people who are

now getting

m> very ill in my old workplace will take their symptoms seriously. From what I

have heard,

m> Hazmat was called to the building and it still hasn't been closed. What will

it take? So

m> please, send me some strength and any tips that you can share - my interview

is Tuesday.

m> May good health be given to all of you,

m> Missy
