Guest guest
hi again william, my apologies to you. i misunderstood your message. now i see that you are looking for someone who has experience with taking NDT, and not comparison dosage. i'm sorry that i can't help you on that end yet. i'm still on synthetic synthroid and cytomel. i hope you keep in touch and let us know your results. i'm really glad to hear that your swelling of the thyroid gland is returning to normal. mine still feels the same when i swallow. perhaps someday i'll ask for a repeat ultrasound for comparison. i wonder if anyone else here has experience with the gland becoming smaller from the synthetic meds as well. lois > > > > > > > > Hello all, > > > > > > > > I have a couple questions. Was on T4 for maybe a year and a half now and I think that is what caused the thyroid to swell up. TPO is 3 times normal. Major problems. Dumped the T4 and am now going up on the grains of natural thyroid and wanted to ask those of you who have experienced this condition at what level (number of grains) of natural thyroid and how long it took to get the thyroid to return to normal (if it does)? Trying to get an appointment to discuss this with the doctor but I am guessing he probably will not like what I am doing. I am taking 5 grains now (3 in morning and 2 after lunch). As I worked up, the thyroid is shrinking but it is still swollen. I am looking for information and experience (hopefully first hand) to relate to and build a case with the doctor. I would like to get this solved if it can be solved. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
