Guest guest
I have experienced some improvement of symptoms after taking an adrenal support supplement, but the visual clarity just seems to come and go over time. I have been reading about thyroid eye disease, but it seems to be more associated with hyperthyroidism than hypo. Although I have also read that in the beginning stages of Hashimoto’s, a person goes through swings between hypo and hyper which if this is true, might explain my ever changing symptoms. I was diagnosed in 2008 with Hashi’s while pregnant but after four years, I suspect the autoimmune attack started in 1995 with my first irregular TSH test (10.5, I think) I was put on levothroid for 6 weeks and when I went in for a retest, I was taken off of it when the doc determined that “it must have been a virus that affected my thyroid, since you obviously don’t need it anymore”. …amazing that a medical doc would have no interest in testing further! I heard back from my optometrist and she wants to recheck me, but claims she’s never heard of hypothyroidism causing anything more than dry eyes. Funny, I can find plenty of info that suggest contrary. I hate to send her a link from a cosmetic ophthalmologist practice (have you ever heard of such a place???), but they had some good info:http://facialworks.flexmd.net/index.cfm/PageID/2815 I guess I would just like to know if someone else out there can relate to intermittently losing ability to focus? Thanks for the responses so far.Jen
