Guest guest Posted February 15, 2008 Report Share Posted February 15, 2008 A Bill to Allow Medicaid for Full-time Caregivers (Source: SJ-R.com) - Illinois Senators Koehler, Dale Risinger and Sullivan are co-sponsoring Senate Bill 2112 which would provide Medicaid payment for full-time spousal caregivers. " What this bill does is it corrects an injustice, " said Sen. Risinger. " I'd be surprised if it doesn't pass because it's really one of those things that just makes sense to do. " Rep. Moffitt plans to sponsor the legislation in the House. First, though, it must pass in the Senate and House and get signed by the governor. At present, the legislation is in the Senate Rules Committee, which is the first stop for all bills that originate in the Senate.
