Story by Nate Fluharty http://www.wtrf.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory & storyid=38619 Wheeling -- A seventh grade Warwood Middle School student is the only child on record to be diagnosed with a rare fungal infection that in the end, claimed her right eye. But Kamika wouldn't let it keep her down. has been battling this rare infection for almost a year. It affected her weight, her ability to walk, and her appearance. It also cost her thousands of dollars for treatment. " One night I was at my sisters baby shower and my ear was hurting and the next day I went to school and the next day I got my eye taken out. " Kamika said. That's when students from Wheeling Park High School decided to help out by selling t-shirts to help pay for the medical bills. Kamika said she is doing much better.
