TAN of The Northwestern http://www.thenorthwestern.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article? AID=/20080331/OSH/80331231/1987 The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh building that houses the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Head Start program remained closed Monday as of¬ficials continue to wait for re¬sults of tests for mold in the building. The Head Start program, which has 124 students and 10 teachers, moved temporarily to the Radford Center, 501 E. Parkway Ave., while the adjoin¬ing Wilcox Center remains closed during air quality testing. Marc Dosogne, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, said he closed the Wilcox building on March 20 as a precautionary measure after some staff reported feel¬ing ill, indicated possible presence of mold, Dosogne said. Preliminary test results revealed no mold in the air, said Traska, development and marketing director for the Boys and Girls Club. The agen¬cy is now waiting for results of carpet tests. Officials initially hoped to be able to address the issue during spring break last week, but the building will remain closed until it can be fully cleaned. " We are just doing this because we are proactive people and we want to make sure ev¬erything is right, " Traska said. See the full story in Tuesday's Northwestern. Aldrich M.
