HI, i live in Staten island, part of NYC. i just tested positve for

stachybotrys atra iga. I am highly alergic to mold. go figure and

have been sufering like crazy for a while now but have just chalked it

up to all my other auto immune problems (chronic fatigue, fibro,

hpyothyroid) along with a seizure disorder and blood test confirmed

lyme disease. yes i am a mess.

now i am dealing with this. My land lord doesnt think this is a big

deal. She isnt having any of the upper resporatory symptoms i am

having. and to make it worse the mold busters (moe larry and curley)

that she hired to test for the mold told her this was no big deal.

my doctor wants me away from the mold. i told her i wanted to use part

of the rent to pay for a hotel - she flat out said in a lovely brooklyn

accent NO WAY- i need that money. i have bills to pay. so i am

sitting at my computer in front of an air purifier that i paid for with

a mask on taking allerga. i am tired as hell, to tired to fight with

her, as usual and i go to sleep a 8 o'clock every night.

i knew something more then my usual lyme was wrong with me. i was

unuasually depressed and having more seizures then usual to the point

myneurologist raised my meds. i thought it was all the lyme and when

to a lyme doctor. he tested me for this type of mold.

turns out my land lady has had a leak in her bathroom for awhile now

and never fixed it. it is around her toilet. that area is right above

my computer

when i moved in 2 1/2 years ago i noticed a yellow stain but thought

they had a flood but because my apartment was so beautiful i figured

they fixed something as simple as an over flowing toilet. well they

didnt

i dont trust the kids who tested for the mold. they told my land lord

that we can stay there when the clean up begins (if there is a clean

up) regardless of the type of mold. he told her that this is no big

deal. he told her that no insurance company will pay her for it so she

is freaking out.

i am on disability for all my other ailments (i cant believe this is

happeneing) so i am home most of the day. i have taken to spending

most of the day in my sons car - some of it at the library and coming

home just to sleep.

just wanted to know what you guys think about all this.

my brain is on fire and we will not have results until next week.
