Guest guest
Arlen Yes it is costly to get into the trial. But my thinking is it "may" give me longer life and that hope is worth the expense. I keep looking in this group to see if there are other trials that could offer me more hope. So far this is the only game in town I am sorry that I am not one of the group that looks to whole and natural remedies for help. I still believe that the medical field should know more about this than I do, or I can find out on my own. I guess that I will keep that positive view until they kill me, as they did my father. but that is another story. Dave Re: Home Page confusion Dave, You are correct. The tests and exams to see if you're eligible for the "Inspire" program are at your expense, but once you're accepted as a test subject, the drug company picks up the tab. Personally, I think this sucks. We're doing them a huge favor, and they have the gall to charge us for it. Arlen
Guest guest
Re: clinical trials. In my opinion we should participate in any that we expect to help us or the other guy and if our schedules, life styles, and finances permit. But what we're really looking for are called 'stage three' clinical trials. Those are the ones they do on a med or treatment just before it gets approved for the mass market. The effectiveness research has been done by that time and, if I understand it correctly, they're just making sure they're not going to kill anyone.
