URGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

This irks me to no end...

Geranium is used in AROMATHERAPY and I do NOT RECOMMEND aromatherpy for

ANYONE especially those with a problem with scents, immune system

problems.....As

most aromatheraphy " oils " are chemcially extracted.... it is used for the

following:

" Balalncing affect on the nervous system, helping to alleviate apathy,

anxiety, stress, hyperactivity and depression. Anti-inflammatory, arthrisits,

acne, diaper rash, burns, blisters, eczema, cuts and congested pores- primaily.

If what I SUSPECT is true they meant the homeopathic known as

GELSEMIUM: head pains in the back of the head and associated with dimness

of visio or other visual distrubances. Pain is aggravated by lying with the

head low, heat of the sun exposure, and mental exertion while the [aons tend

to be relieved after profuse urination. People who benefit from this tend to

be extremely fatigued, have apathetic feelings and usually wihtout thirt.

Also useful for those who get headaches prior to or after some type of

performance or test.

Other normally " prescribed " homeopathic headache remedies:

Sanguinaria: relief from right sided pain, usually over the right eye,

especailly when they suffer from indigestion with a burning pain in the

stomach.

common remedy for headaches in women w/menopause

Spigella:

left sided headachepain even affecting the face, a lot fo pain in the left

eye socket and aggravated by motion

coffea: headache and insomnia. also, with headaches associated with coffee

consumption

bryoni: bursting/spliting pain from simple motion of any kind. pain is

mainly in the front part of the head and relieved with firm pressure. pain

accompanied by indigestion and or constipation. also they want to be left

alone

belladonna: primary one for intense, throbbing headaches aggravated by

light noise touch, motion, simple jarring and lying down. relief is associated

with sitting in a semi-erect position, cold compresses with firm roessure.

also, right-sided headaches that come/go return very fast.

nux vomica: pain from overeating, overdrinking, coffee consumption or drug

use. pain is worse when waking up and somewhat eased by being in a warm room.

I have taken all of these and have them with me in case I should get rather

than give a headache " wink " . seriously these do work at over the counter

strengths aka 30x, 30c, 6x, or 6c. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ETHANOL OR LACTOSE

DO

NOT TAKE THES WWITHOUT A LICENSED ALT MED PRACTIONER AVISES... Watch out

for those WEEKEND " practiioners " those who go to a 2 day seminar on alt med and

all of a sudden they know it ALL!

She was speaking of germanium, a trace mineral that increases tissue

oxygenation, which is probably why it helped.

Ntefusa,

Thanks for the information about those remedies and the caveats. There seem to

be so many different schools of training in homeopathy. And even amidst the more

thorough and lengthy schools there are big arguments about what method works and

what doesn't, how to take the meds and what to avoid when doing them (some say

coffee, pine, etc). I'm not asking for medical advice here. But in your

experience, what type of homeopathy works best for those with mold, mcs issues

and how does one find a practitioner that really knows the what they are doing.

I've seen everyone from medical doctors, ND's, and lay people doing it years

back.

Thanks again,

Sam

mcs issues and how does one find a practitioner that really knows the what

doing it years back.

There are " basically " 2 types of homeoapthic " views " per say. SImplified it

means you have those trained in classical homeopathy whereby they use only

one remedy at a time and others who have no problems with " mixtures " of

remedies. It's really a moot point in the scheme of things.

There are substances that do " deactivate " for a lack of a better term the

healing effects of remedies, such as caffiene, mints, camphor etc. And " strong

odors " ironically is also mentioned.

That's a very difficult question to answer as each remedy is specific to a

" known response " found in the provings of a remedy. A remedy is predicated on

what " reactions " it " exhibits " in a healthy person and therefore it will help

with a sick person who has those symptoms.

That's why a very detailed intake summary is given prior to having a

practitioner " recommend " a remedy for a person, it's not a one remedy fits all

type

of treatment. Not every one has the " same " symptoms and it's difficult for

someone to say " ok, you have mold so use this " , that's a very allopathic

approach. It is COMMON for a person to have to try a few remedies to find the

" perfect " fit for them.

There are some " common " ones that seem to help people and again it's a very

individualized treatment protocol.

I am working on writing up an list of the more :common " ones and what

" symptoms " they are known to help with. Having one than one remedy that people

seem to feel is right for them is not uncommon and by trying the ones they

" feel " describes their " symptoms " is really the only way a person can try

homeopathy by themselves.

I known my symptoms well enough and what remedies have helped me in prior

situations that I carry those with me at all times.

The only one that I have " recommended " to people is something that I created

and it is only available thru the corporation that custom made it for me.

Whether it works for someone else is unknown. But the ingredients in it are

the main ingredients used in a former national trial called Enzyme Potenizated

Desneitzation (EPD)procotol that the FDA decided was too experimental and

therefore cancelled the trail. Ironically, it is available to practiioners in

the US thru Canadaian sources. There is a similar program using the " theory "

called Low Dose Immuotherapy in the US.

The BEST personalized alt med therapy I have found that is NON-INVASIVE and

to SOME " quackery " is electro-dermal screenig. ITs a " sort " of form of

allergy testing that uses acupuncture points on both the hands and feet that

" measures " a persons " response " to programed allergens, boy system status.

Then a homeopathic remedy in water is made for that person. I was doing it

weekly, as the body changes constantly, and prior to getting assaulted with

perfume, it took me about 1.5 years to get back to 85% of my health. So, I do

know it works, but the last assault even that can not over ride the damage

it did to me.

This is not covered by any insurance that I know of and it can run about

100/session. To me it was worth every cent and more.

Finding a alt med dr who specializes in CI is difficult as most are NOT

trained in it. I know I was in naturopathic medical school and it was an

" issue "

that was not covered. Also, a LOT of alt med " doctors " go as I previously

stated to these weekend seminars get a very condensed Readers DIgest

" training " and they have absolutely NO BUSINESS even referencing that they are

trained in alt med.

Those who are licensed as being board certified ND's use things such as

aromatherphy and recommend ozone generators for mitigation of environmental

" issues " which I completely disagree with.

As it is the " code " of ND's to implement " first do no harm " yet, with the

use of ozone they are harming. Using aromatherapy is still " harming " as its a

" substance " that affects the brain and therefore the entire body through a

" chemical " inhalation rather than a pharmaceutical " drug " into the system.

I know it appears that I am avoiding answering your question, but, I really

am not. It's a hard thing to say do this do that. Homeopathy involves

learning about what your " major " symptoms are " then researching what remedies

are

used for thos symptoms.

Homeopathy is completely SAFE and those who claim it isn't are ill-informed.

As they give them to babies and there are no " side effects " . Any " side

effect " is GOOD as the body is attempting to regain homeostasis and while

attempting to heal itself, the release of the " problem " is faster than the

body,

which is ill, can eliminate it. _http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=879355#i_

(http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=879355#i) EXCEPT for those with known

problems with ethanol and lactose problems.

Simple answer: find a beginners book on it, learn what it is, how it was

discovered, how remedies are " discovered " , how it works on the body, then buy a

couple of them. The single use vials are about 3 or 4.00 each.

Now, I PEROSNALLY make up some of my own for specific things like a flu

etc., and I will NOT elaborate on it as I would not want to encourage anyone to

try to make up a nosode on their own. But I would use it for mold if that was

my major problem. Then again, DO NOT ATTEMPT this on your own!

I have an entire page on my website devoted to alt-med for both the novice

and seasoned professional

_http://www.national-toxic-encephalopathy-foundation.org/altmed.htm_

(http://www.national-toxic-encephalopathy-foundation.org/altmed.htm) Scroll

aorund on it and try to see what this centuries old

treatment is about and you might find a remedy that will help you.
