After a yearlong delay at a Neptune elementary school, the Schools Development Authority says it terminated all contracts with the Gilbane Building Company. The Authority is suing the contractor for $13 million to recover the cost of mold removal from the 700-student Midtown Community Elementary School. The brick facade of the Neptune school had to be torn down and rebuilt after mold was found in exterior walls. After disagreements came up in mediation, the state agency fired Gilbane from 22 building projects in the Neptune, Barnegat, Vineland and Asbury Park school districts.
