Hi Sam,

Everything off-gasses. It is just a matter of what is coming off of

them :-)

Considerations in bedding:

Content: What materials are ok for you -

Polyurethane combined with flame retardants - bad for everyone but

if you want one made for you, it takes a doctor's prescription to

have them forgo the flame retardant chems.

Latex/rubber? A common allergen

Wool? Can you tolerate lanolin oils? However this is natural flame

retardant so no prescription from a doctor is needed to get it

without those added chems.

Cotton? A highly pesticided crop

Organic cotton? Can you tolerate cotton seed oil? The amounts

exuded depends upon origin and processing. My personal experience

was that Texas organic cotton (abundantearth.com) was high in this

oil and I had to wait four months for a futon to outgas. A Peruvian

cotton processed in Canada (furnature.com) was very expensive but

almost immediately tolerable.

Just my experiences and I have no financial iterest in those

companies - your responses to these materials may be quite different.
