My daughter experienced many issues while on miralax and all issues were well documented. We have experienced other health problems which make me wonder if problems are related to the usage of miralax. I am currently begining to work with a team of doctors who think outside the box. I was told by the referring physicians to please share this information about my child's experience. I read a letter on this site just recently from a lady who has experienced leakage. My daughter too has had the same problem for 3 years. That is when she came off miralax. Huummm that makes me wonder...... Doctors are baffled. When we experienced our initial problems I contacted the physician who prescribed this for.her. No returned calls. I faxed him letters no returned calls or faxes. I went to my family doctor no luck there he kept saying take her back to the specialist and would not help. I wound up talking to my pharmacist and.had the drug tested. It came back safe. The pharmacist advised me to take her off this and try natural alternatives. We worked hard to find our root to her stomach issues. We did as Dr. Phil would say a lifestyle change. It worked for our constipation issues. I realize the pharmacy students feel they know the answers but please remember that life teaches us too please as you enter your careers please look and listen to all sides, research and evaluate before making decisions.
