My windows have good storm windows on them and they don't leak in any water

at all. The only thing that happens in the winter is when it is very windy you

can hear the storm windows rattle but never any water or condensation at

all. If I don't have a moisture problem but not air tight is that still a good

reason to replace them? I never know what to do. Some say air tight is not

good and a little air passing through is a good thing. I wish I had all the

answers. My idea of a perfect home would be high off the ground, plastic, all

cotton and natural materials inside, my washer & water heater in the garage,

etc. I don't think we can get away from everything but I try to do the best I

can to stay well. If I stay home and go only where I now is safe and don't

stand near anyone with perfume/cologne on I do okay. Haven't had a headache in

months. Only happens when exposed to fragrances and water damaged buildings.

Sue, I know all too well how much anxiety/stress this stuff causes.

I've felt on verge of nervous breakdown past couple months, myself.

Trying to keep things as clean as possible, but not even feeling well

enough to get out of bed.

I'm not too sure about the decision to not replace leaky windows.

After several home inspections, I've come to the conclusion that my

leaky doors & windows have been a big factor in all my indoor mold.

It's like my home contents have been basically sitting in my yard for

however long my doors & windows have been leaking. One window was so

bad, when the wind blew strong enough, it blew mulch right inside

onto my kid's toys! I wondered why all my furniture was degrading so

quickly & my walls & belongings were becoming so discolored! Just

think about when it rains, snows, high pollen & mold counts; you

wouldn't necessarily have your windows open during those times, but

if they're leaking, they're essentially open.

Just thought I'd share my experience with you, in case it could help

you with your home. I know the frustration my leaky windows & doors

have caused me, not to mention the loss of ruined belongings & I'm

hoping the replacements will cut down on all the excess moisture

inside. In fact, the company we're using, guarentees a 30% reduction

in heating & cooling bills; that's huge!

Hope this helps you; sounds like anything to reduce your

anxiety/stress would be a good thing! Hope your anxiety/stress

lessens, soon!!

Hugs, Cheryl
