Guest guest
I just started compounded T3 twelve days ago, taking 7.5mg every 12 hours. I took my 8pm dose on time, then just now went to set out my 8am dose on my nightstand, and absent-mindedly took it again. (thank you brain fog). My heart is already skipping a beat almost constantly, what will double dosing tonight do to me? Guest guest
Hi Anita, Sorry to hear of your mishap. It appears that this is a tad late to help you. Hopefully, the worst is over now. Generally, you need to stay cool and stay hydrated; wet packs may be helpful. I have read that T4 will counteract taking too much T3, but I don't have any details as to why this happens. That is probably something you may not have on hand if you're only consuming T3. Another thing I vaguely remember reading is that sunlight helps to use T3 up more quickly meaning if you're out in the sun a lot you may need more T3. Logically, it may help to lower high T3 as well. This seems to be true for me; I become less energized and feel to some extent exhausted every time I spend a lot of time in the sun. Also, I have read stories where doctors used to give patients fluoride to slow down an overactive thyroid. Excessive thyroid hormones can be treated with iodides such potassium iodide. If you're experiencing high catecholamine (high adrenaline, noradrenaline and/or dopamine) activity symptoms the drug propranolol should help and dexamethasone is known to counteract shock and block to some extent thyroid hormone conversion. I hope you are feeling better, ~Bj > > I just started compounded T3 twelve days ago, taking 7.5mg every 12 hours. Guest guest
> sunlight helps to use T3 up more quickly I actually slept better than usual last night, but I did add a Xanax. Didn't word myself very well, my heart has been skipping for several months prior to last night's double-dosing, and I was having a serious episode of this yesterday afternoon, prior to the double-dosing. Interesting that you talk about sunlight using up T3, as my symptoms got really bad a few weeks ago, pitting edema is awful and skipping heart is now multiple episodes daily--all after just a few weeks ago adding a light box to my depression regimen. Guest guest
I would think taking a calcium supplement immediately after you mistakenly swallow a T3 pill might help block the hormone absorption? I have loaded up on calcium before when I was briefly over-treated on Armour. It seemed to help. > > > sunlight helps to use T3 up more quickly > > I actually slept better than usual last night, but I did add a Xanax.
