Guest guest
Don't know what this really means but this is response regarding my email to Hopkins Hello, Thank you for your email. I think you misunderstood the article. As it said, UNFORTUNATELY, the conditions due to Hurricane Katrina had provided extensive conditions in which molds could be studied closely to determine the precise nature of the damage they do cause. We hope this answers your question, but do let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you for your interest in the website. yours in good health, Customer Service s Hopkins Health Alerts www.johnshopkinshealthalerts.com Mold Myths It is sad that a major medical association would put out this kind of information that will only hurt the sick that look for help. I have worked for ten years trying to educate the gov't, press, etc. about how mold can make a perfectly healthy person sick. Most of the people I have met through the ten years were very healthy before they had indoor mold cause major illness. And the so called multiple chemical sensitivity is a very real problem. There are different names reactive airways disease, irritant induced asthma, etc. and there is literature all over at children's hospitals, etc. about irritants that cause asthma, etc. I can't begin to tell you the suffering I have endured, and I am only trying to protect others from living this terrible life style. It is very painful to live with fragrance, detergents, soaps, cleaning products etc. that are made with chemicals that haven't even been tested for safety. The EU Government has already started making their products safer and eliminated chemicals that are not safe. Unfortunately many people that get ill from indoor mold get these chemical sensitivities. Something happens to the body where we can no longer tolerate these chemicals. I was fine with them for forty years and then my body was weakened. Just like pregnant woman get sick when near these chemicals, cooking odors, gasoline, but no one doubts when they get sick from these irritants. I wonder if these people that did this study have some conflict of interest to down play this serious illness. I am sure someone will check out that information. Everyday I read of people all over the world that are suffering either in schools, police stations, court houses, fire stations, apartments, homes, the list goes on and on where they are trying to get someone to help them with this mold that seems to be a myth to Hopkins. I will never go to this Hospital with their lack of knowledge, and I am sure that others will do the same. There is so much suffering going on in this world with floods, hurricanes, homes, offices with roof leaks, pipe damage, toilet leaks, etc. that it would be nice if the people could get the proper information instead of having to scavenger around trying to figure out what information is correct. I wouldn't want to be the organization that gives out the wrong information only to cause more undue suffering. I thought Hopkins had the most up to date knowledge, but I guess not. Seems like they would be interested in learning more from the sick people instead of hurting them more. We rely on hospitals, etc. to know what to do when we are sick.
