Guest guest
You need to know if your iron levels are adequate. Without enough iron, the thyroid will not be ushered into the cells. Hi, I have never actually participated in a forum group before, I tend to read the information and hopefully become educated enough to understand what needs treatment. But the information on Hashimotos is so overwhelming that I don't know what I should do. I have recently started working with an acupuncturist. He claims that he has successfully treated Hashimotos. I certainly am open to adding this to my existing treatment. I am taking 90 mcg of Armour Thyroid and recently added 10mcg of generic cytomel. I noticed that my TSH is extremely low, should I be concerned about this? My T3 and T4 appear within the range. I still have the following symptoms: dizziness, fatigue, brain fog, weight gain that has never come off in spite of daily workouts and eating a paleo diet. I drink 72oz of water per day, supplement with selenium, Omega-3, zinc, calcium/magnesium. I tried Iodine and I think that it made my problems much more severe. Do you have any recommendations of what I should be doing. Are there additional lab tests that I should request and does anyone know of an excellent dr in the denver, co area, as the doctors in colorado springs are just awful. My current treatment plan has been done by a NP at my GYN office.
