Guest guest
Sharon M., and Courage, I too have some moments. For a spell about three years ago, I was falling all over the place, I had seizures that were not seizures, as we know them. At least MRI showed nothing. My brain was in good shape on that. There was no evidence of Epilepsy. No reason for the seizures. The doctor said I have essential tremor, and put me on Neurontin. I am now taking 800mg 3 times a day. Although I still run into doorways, I don't fall anymore, and I don't have seizures anymore. But, I do have a problem of looking right at an object, and not being able to name it. I will say, " That thing you sit on, " for chair. It will come to me in a few minutes, but I usually work for it. Some things just pop in my head days later. Is it stress? Is it depression? Is it old age? Is it serious? I don't know. When I forgot who our dear Donna R. was it floored me. She is our moderator, and the precious person that sent me the LBD DVD. I was baffled for days. THAT scared me. I even asked around who she was. Another problem that concerns me is reaching for a cabinet on the wrong side of the room. I do that a lot. Then wonder why I was reaching on the opposite side than I should have. I too, am keeping notes. Some say we caregivers get the " dementia of caregivers " I guess I sure have it. Imogene Caregiver for my True Texas Gentleman husband of 35 years. He has LBD with Parkinsonism.
