Guest guest
I have not posted for months anywhere. I went to TCI Dec'07 and was diagnosed with: Functional Cranial Settling - C2 instability Chiari 1 - due to small posterior fossa, minimal herniation Syringomyelia - thin slit C5-6 Disc Herniation touching Cord Tethered Cord Hypertrophied Styloid Process (that I think is causing my Trigeminal Neuralgia recently dx'd) Other skull & bone anomolies, etc. Too long to list. I never went back for Invasive Cervical Traction or the TC surgery. Now I can't afford to go from CA to NY especially alone, as was always the case. I did not get help at UCLA in 2006. My questions: 1. Is there another NS specialist at UCLA other than the one listed? 2. How is Dr. Oro in CO? 3. Any other new specialist on west coast beside Dr. E in Washington? 4. Any NS referrals for Northern CA? Any feedback would be appreciated. I do not even have a NL. My PCP has been basically managing my pain. Only now I need to start this again because the pain & dysfunction is getting much worse...and I must be prepared. (Eventual craniocervical fusion is up the road for me.) Guest guest
, I have been wanting to share this doctor's name here and now is a good reason to do it. I have a friend from Pismo Beach, CA who went to specialist after specialist about her neck issues. I've talked to her a lot and her issues ring so true and sometimes even parallel my own. she finally went to a doctor in San Fran whom she thought was excellent in his manner, caring, and knowledge. When she told me what he'd told her, it sounded very sensible and in line with what we've learned from the experts here.. His name is Dr. Bruce McCormack, director of a neuro-spine institute in SFO. Here is a link for him: http://www.spinefracture.org/about_us.html I found this info on the internet about him: Bruce M. McCormack, M.D. 2320 Sutter St., #202 San Francisco, California 94115 Phone: and this link is more info and a pic of him: http://www.cpmc.org/ProviderSearch/? sitecfg=49 & action=providerdetail & masterid=10994 & isLevelOne=1 I'm not sure if he'd have knowledge of CM, but he might be a good one for TC (???) Hope this helps Virginia > > I have not posted for months anywhere.
