Does anyone know of a reputable home testing lab to recommend? My

endocrinologist refuses to test any othere hormone levels or check the adrenal

system even when I've told him that I'm still having lots of problems following

my Hashimoto's diagnosis and it seems EVERYTHING I've read says that the adrenal

system and other hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone, should be checked

as they are all affected by the thyroid gland.

Does anyone know about the hair follicle tests? I am interested in this test

for my daughter as well since Hashimoto's is hereditary. I've been told by both

her doctor AND mine that " we don't normally do that " , meaning, they don't test

hormone levels and my endocrinologist only gives out synthroid for Hashimoto's

and they don't check any other systems. I'm read to try and find things out on

my own because my daughter is only 10 and has excessive hair growth above her

lip, and I am having cycles that last up to two weeks then stop for about a week

then start right back up again. I'm still really tired and my hair has started

falling out again.

I appreciate any advice anyone might be able to send.

Thank you,

Hi, call your local pharmacy and ask which other drs prescribe Armour .

Then visit them and see if they are willing to do other tests.
