We simply went all natural lots of juices even prune juice in the begining but we now stick with just apple juice. Water, fruits and vegys are great too yogurt is a good product it has good enzymes. We use alot of lactose free products such as Lactose free milk and cheeses. Cabot makes cheese that is all lactose free. It is just as good! Made from cows milk.

I took some time to look into some of the resources that were available on this site and I had some questions. I noticed that there were several other published articles stating alternative laxatives for relieving constipation, for instance, the one for Chrones disease. I looked into the different ones that were posted and I noticed that there were no studies done in children for the alternatives too (like magnesium, etc...). Is anyone else concerned that these are not studied in kids? I just don't want to have the same thing happen to my little girl if I try to switch her to one of these alternatives.- Concerned

Thanks for the tip on the lactose free cheese. Does anyone know if there's lactose free whipping cream? To: "miralax " <miralax > Sent: Monday, June 4, 2012 5:27 PM Subject: Re: Still concerned

You can use the coconut cream for ice cream, I did- though it will change the flavor profile... Can you use any of the "cool whip" types? Or Dream whips?(powdered) if you mixed the cool whip by hand for a few it would probably go "flat" We cannot because they are too full of allergens.. but I bet one of them would be lactose free...I don't think I have seen lactose free whipping cream... I will have to check and see if I notice it at any of our favorite groceries.. I wonder if a liquid non-dairy creamer would work?Hope you find one- if you do let me know, it would be a handy tip to remember

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. I'll check at my local whole foods and see what I can find there, also. I'll keep everyone posted. To: "miralax " <miralax > Sent: Monday, June 4, 2012 6:44 PM Subject: Re: Still concerned

I was suggesting the magnesium to help him go...............http://www.yearstoyourhealth.com/natural_calm/kids_calm.html From: Warne To: "miralax " <miralax >Sent: Tue, June 5, 2012 12:33:53 PMSubject: Re: Still concerned

My sons pediatrician is going to do a Magnesium and thryoid test on him in July for his 8 year physical. Here's hoping to finding a deficiency, something tangible to treat! To: miralax Sent: Monday, June 4, 2012 8:28 PM Subject: Re: Still concerned

concerned...........I don't think magnesium is toxic so I don't think you need to worry about magnesium, check with your pharmacist about doses as one would never want to give too much of anythingTo: miralax Sent: Mon, June 4, 2012 1:57:34 PMSubject: Still concerned
