Guest guest
I saw Dr. Ferret at UC ' pulmonary clinic. Have to have a referral from your doctor, I think, and I think they assign doctors by availability on the day of your appointment. They are super busy and it takes a couple months to get in, but they are thorough and nice. They recommended Spiriva for me and since then (I haven't taken it yet) new studies show that more COPD patients in the Spiriva group died during the two year study period than in the fluticonizone/salmetrol (? spelling) group. I don't like taking meds, so I had the Rx filled but haven't tried it yet! So, now I'm glad I didn't take it, I guess, although the pulm docs said lots of patients got benefit from it. I'm a wait and see person on taking drugs, if I can... Good luck, Kay -------------- Original message -------------- Responding to Kay. It sounds as though you live in the Sacramento area? If so, could you recommend a good pulmonary doctor? Thank you, Lincoln, CA _____________________________________________________________Click here to find great deals on vending machines. Guest guest
Spiriva did not work for me (I guess that's good now) and the Dr. switched me to Combivent which has been fine.
