Guest guest
How is the water getting into the ground around the building? Would it be possible to prevent it from getting there in the first place?

The water's coming in through the front of the house because it butts up to the front lawn. I can prevent that by cementing everything over but that would mean thousands of dollars-not something I want to do now. I'm hoping the waterproofing will do the trick. Of course, I know that fighting mold and dampness is a real tricky game-this may work or it may not but I'm willing to try. > How is the water getting into the ground around the building? Guest guest
http://corkandfloor.com/mosaic.htm Dunno how much it would be...but here is another alternative. Natual Cork is pretty much waterproof. click on all The Tabs, and i'm sure there are other Co.'s....this is the first i came upon after doing a search. It is not my intention to promote this or any other company. > >I remembered the name: B-Dry Waterproofing. I found it recommended in > a natural housekeeping book and called them. Guest guest
Another excellent waterproofing company is Basement Systems, USA. They did ours and a neighbor's house. Very happy with the work they did. wrote: >Ah, excellent question! The water's coming in through the front of the house because it butts up to the front lawn.
