Synthetic v. Natural with regards to pregnancy

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to become pregnant within the next few months (if I can ever get my

TPO down). I am currently on 8/53 T3 T4 compounded. My doctor had wanted to put

me on naturethroid originally, but I asked to be put on a synthetic because it

was my understanding that almost all of the thyroid pregnancy hormone studies

done were done with a synthetic form rather than a natural hormone.

Does anyone know if it is safe to use a natural while pregnant? If you do, do

you know any studies supporting this?
