Guest guest
Get rid of the photos. Have someone scan EVERY photo on to a cd and keep them that way in order to make scrap books. YOu cna pick up a HP all in one printer that scans FABULSOUSLY for about 150 on sale. I have used HP all in one office jets for years and love them. Make sure you get one with the feeder so you don't have to stand over it scanning page by page. Never bring the printer into the house just keep it for scanning mold infested articles. Invest about 20 some odd dollars in a pdf conversion program. scan all your doucments into a pdf format and you have them at hand without the mycotoxins from the damaged one. This wya you can have your cake and eat it to.
Guest guest
>Sprinkle baking soda in and around all the stuff! It will absorb the odors a bit. I'm afraid in a sealed container your stuff might be completely devoured by growing mold. Is there a place you can treat it with the baking soda PLUS leave the tops off so the stuff can get a little fresh air circulation? I did the same thing with my books, etc when I demolished my basement looking for mold but I was lucky that my mom has a big attic and everything is there offgassing (I hope). I don;t really expect to be able to bring any of the stuff home again but maybe.... > Hi, I bought like 8 plastic rubermaid bins that have a snap type > closure. i put all my photo albums and any photos in frames (all > this stuff was right under the leak and the mold) so they are not > good for ME to be around. we also put a few books and some very > important papers away like this. >
Guest guest
none of the photos or albums have visable mold on them. just micotocins i am sure. i have no idea what is going on inside that closet but i have to tell you all that i still have symptoms. i am being treated for lyme but i know the symptoms are from mold. my son still has stuff in his room that needs to go. i have a printer from the old house that i cant figure out if its dirty or not. i am the only one who is so sensitive to it and its driving everyone else i live with crazy. they dont want to hear it any more. i just dont know what to do. many of my photos are on my hard drive that i took out of my distroyed computer. my family is tired of hearing me complain at this point. i dont think they care anymore if this mold is here or not. its not bothering them. i keep my room door closed - everything in there is new and i keep the air purifier on at all times. i am 53 and on disability - as soon as i can i want to move to my my own place. i feel like my son and his girlfrind just see me as a pain in the neck. So if i start saying we have to scan in a bunch of stuff outside - no one is going to do it for me. lately all i have been doing is sleeping so i know there is something up in the new apartment. they just wouldnt listen to me. All i hear is about how they work all day. gee - when i was there age i had two kids took them to baby sitters. commuted to the city (2 hour trip) came home cooked did homework with them cleaned up. i am sorry i have no pitty. i am home all day because i am sick and sometimes i feel like they think i am the maid. ugh. sorry about all that. but i am really feeling in my througt right now. i hate being in this living room cause most of the stuff in here should have gone out. i dont have a computer and am using my sons mac. its its in the living room. i am tired. thanks for the sugggestions everyone - i could leave them in the sun for a few days. but that would entail talking to these two. the baking soda is a good idea too. thanks. > >Sprinkle baking soda in and around all the stuff!
