Guest guest
I, as well as many have went through this experience and unfortunately will continue to. Most of us anticipate the run in. My doctor as well was very open minded, understanding... My entire immediate and extended family saw her for years, she became almost family. But when it came to anything beyond a cold or flu, she was lacking. My sons' health went into a decline after vaccine's (caught every bug, cold, flu) was always sick, chronic ear infections. I insisted on action, she said they needed more of a record of infections. His eardrum finally burst! His hearing is ok, Thank God! But, she was mis-diagnosing and even resistant to my son getting an evaluation for autism. I had to demand it over and over. These illness were all connected to vaccine injury!!! Upon my next visit after the diagnosis, I had created Together In Autism. She asked at what age the earliest signs could be detected? What!!! I was saddened and in shock. She was clueless. Before my thorough investigation on vaccines, she gave my youngest child a double dose of vaccines without informing me, just said due for 3 or 4. Upon my next visit I was told that he was due for his shots, I stated that we were not doing any that day, we were looking into an alternate vaccine schedule, everyone treated and looked at me like I was "one of those." The doctor walked in and right away without saying hi, and said that he was not due, he got all of them 3 months prior, he's ahead! She gave me a wink and said, "Bet you are relieved huh? (with a wink)... What an idiot! RELIEVED??? So, needless to say, we are not wasting our time with someone who is not educated or not open to the possibilities, especially those that place strong judgement on our way of life, which is recovery. My youngest so far is ok, we are keeping a close eye. Just know you are not alone and we have all been there. Keep your path clear and full of positive energy. Your child's recovery is the most important thing! Sincerely, Shauna-Founder Together In Autism www.togetherinautism.org ONE STOP FOR ALL YOUR AUTISM NEEDS. FREE NATIONAL/INTERNATIONALRESOURCE. Guest guest
Unfortunately in these times, you pretty much have to! You're right, our children need taken care of now, their health is NOT OK! Do you have a local autism support group in your area that you could contact? Then again, many are close-minded as well. With my group, just one of the things I do, is try to locate doctors for those having difficulties (nationally/internationally). General Ped. take more investigating. Word of mouth is your best bet, phone calls, google, etc... It is seriously screwed up that we have to do so much, we should be able to find our resource's with ease. That is one of the many things our group tries to provide... Shauna (T.I.A) www.togetherinautism.org Play online games for FREE at Games.com! Unfortunately, unless you're seeing a DAN, you probably wont get anywhere with allopathic doctors. They are pretty much closed to anything other than what they learned in their 4 years of brainwashing that they claim is medical school. I fight this battle every day with my dad, who is a retired orthopaedic surgeon. Guest guest
i hope you filed a VARS report for that polio shot Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwisheshttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677063169 Re: DISCOURAGED!!! kaelainne,Doctors have to think this because if they don't, then everything they learned in school and everything they tell their patients about vaccines would be wrong. Don't be surprised to hear these things, and don't be discouraged by them. Just expect it and know that you are doing what you need to do to help your child. PLEASE do not back down. I decided that I would recently vaccinate my 5 year old (who's been on biomed since 2 and made great gains) because he was starting school. I even tested his titers and only had to give polio and DTaP. And do you know what happened? He had an hour and a half seizure and could have died. None of the hospital staff or his docs will admit that it was the vaccine though he'd never had a seizure in his life. He wasn't doing anything new or abnormal in biomed either, just vitamins and enzymes, but they were quick to blame that. Now he is regressing again and I know exactly what caused it and so does my DAN. So go to your ped. for sniffles and checkups, but for real help with autism seek your DAN doctor, and if you don't like that they are a chiro, get another one, there are lots of regular MDs in the movement. No one else is going to help you and just take it from me, they DO HELP, and they know you aren't crazy. For regular doctors just grin and bear it, and be a pain in the arse when you need to. They have to believe in their doctrine, but we have to believe in finding treatment for our kids who are SICK.My prayers go out to you,Sara No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com Version: 8.0.175 / Virus Database: 270.8.3/1746 - Release Date: 10/25/2008 5:55 PM

Guest guest
Yeah see my little girl can count to 20, knows all letters, shapes, colors, animals and sounds by looking at them. CAN name most of her foods and drinks. Answers "whats this"questions (sometimes) but most of the time is doing one of two things- either shifting around the room all over the place, not focusing on anything, not responding to us or wanting any attentions from us... then other times she is clinging to my leg, screaming at me, yelling in what sounds like another language, arm flapping, and is just inconsolable... I cannot imagine what she goes through in those times. There is a middle ground, where she seems so... with me. We make eye contact, she looks at me as if she is laughing at me or with me. She shows a sense of humor that no 3 year old should have... and then I watch her slip away again.. always slips away.. Maybe I need to get ultra anal and chart from wake til sleep every mood, every reaction and intake of food and drink, weather... and see what happens. Wow, Now that I said that I feel like that is so obvious I should have MONTHS by now...To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2008 10:16:44 PMSubject: Re: DISCOURAGED!!! Guest guest
Hi, I'm super new on this group, I haven't even had a chance to post my intro message. But I read this message and saw hyperlexic. I've never seen that before and for some reason I googled it. And when I read it I thought it sounded like my boy. I guess what I'm asking is can you tell me more about it? Kinda wanna do a comparison? My son is 2 1/2 with severe GI issues and seemingly very smart with numbers and letters. He's considered NT. So, I don't know just thought I'd ask. Hope I'm not a bother. Guest guest
Talk to others in your area who share your views, and find out who they go to. There are open minded, compassionate people with MD after their names, you just need to find one. Having that kind of back up is important, you are in this for the long haul and you are in need of a health partner, not a Mental Dinosaur.Lainna Bracy wrote: That's what I want to do, but how do I question them as to their beliefs on Autism recovery- Should I just ask, Are you a closed minded ahole?? Though you may choose to have separate doctors, they all in some way co-exist as they total as the complete care of your child. I would look for at least a more open minded doctor in your area, or at least one that will not judge you on your views, when the situation arises. It always seems to... Guest guest
no that is not true ANY reaction can be reported, we had to do it with several shots DTaP being one of them for our son as well Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwisheshttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677063169 Re: DISCOURAGED!!! >> i hope you filed a VARS report for that polio shot> >It was actually the DTaP, but I was not able to- you have to have seizure AND long term neurological damage (which I can't prove). Believe me, I tried. ALso because a fever didn't accompany the seizure, the docs won't accept that was the reason for it. Guest guest
autism in and of itself is ALSO hot lotable....I think THIS would make for an interesting chart to put out our lot numbers and HOW MANY of our kids have corrilating batches.....(almost can't believe it HASN"T been done already) to see if there are higher rates or certain batches ect like clusters of autism so to say, which would ALSO explain why not EVERY child who gets vaccinated gets autism, as well as if they were the last dose given as well, bottom of the barrel more mercury type thing Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwisheshttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677063169 Re: DISCOURAGED! !! >> i hope you filed a VARS report for that polio shot> >It was actually the DTaP, but I was not able to- you have to have seizure AND long term neurological damage (which I can't prove).
