Guest guest
A VERY good one! Even though I have absolutely nothing to do with her or her incompetency anymore, she needs to know. Even if she doesn't agree, it will still be in the back of her mind... Shauna Together In Autism www.togetherinautism.org
Guest guest
If you want to do something about this, I would fully document where your child is now, then once he recovers, document that and send it all to Dr. Arrogant. Maybe that will change her tune about what is possible in autism. Kim Subject: Re: Re: DISCOURAGED!!!To: mb12 valtrex Date: Tuesday, October 28, 2008, 4:39 PM I, as well as many have went through this experience and unfortunately will continue to. Most of us anticipate the run in. My doctor as well was very open minded, understanding. .. My entire immediate and extended family saw her for years, she became almost family. But when it came to anything beyond a cold or flu, she was lacking. My sons' health went into a decline after vaccine's (caught every bug, cold, flu) was always sick, chronic ear infections. I insisted on action, she said they needed more of a record of infections. His eardrum finally burst! His hearing is ok, Thank God! But, she was mis-diagnosing and even resistant to my son getting an evaluation for autism. I had to demand it over and over. These illness were all connected to vaccine injury!!! Upon my next visit after the diagnosis, I had created Together In Autism. She asked at what age the earliest signs could be detected? What!!! I was saddened and in shock. She was clueless. Before my thorough investigation on vaccines, she gave my youngest child a double dose of vaccines without informing me, just said due for 3 or 4. Upon my next visit I was told that he was due for his shots, I stated that we were not doing any that day, we were looking into an alternate vaccine schedule, everyone treated and looked at me like I was "one of those." The doctor walked in and right away without saying hi, and said that he was not due, he got all of them 3 months prior, he's ahead! She gave me a wink and said, "Bet you are relieved huh? (with a wink)... What an idiot! RELIEVED??? So, needless to say, we are not wasting our time with someone who is not educated or not open to the possibilities, especially those that place strong judgement on our way of life, which is recovery. My youngest so far is ok, we are keeping a close eye. Just know you are not alone and we have all been there. Keep your path clear and full of positive energy. Guest guest
Sometimes that would work, but sometimes they lie. I called local psychologists asking for one who would be willing to help me develop appropriate IEP goals for my son, and possibly willing to attend an IEP meeting. When we went to the appointment for the one who said yes. She had no clue why we were there, and despite being given all of 's assessments in advance, was also clueless about specifics of autism, how it impacted children educationally, was unwilling to develop IEP goals and, needless to say, wouldn't even consider attending a meeting. has Medicaid, so I'm sure she was just interested in her fee. I got the same response when I went to our primary doctor. He didn't want to do any of the tests I asked for. Unfortunately, unless you're seeing a DAN, you probably wont get anywhere with allopathic doctors. They are pretty much closed to anything other than what they learned in their 4 years of brainwashing that they claim is medical school.I fight this battle every day with my dad, who is a retired orthopaedic surgeon.
