Guest guest
Cherie, With fungal issues, things start subsiding pretty quickly once you hit the target. . . It sounds like you should start getting better now that you've found the target - and the right bullets! The key to success is to stay at it until you get there.. . It's hard to do because we long to feel better - not do something that appears to make us feel worse, even if it's temporary. Guest guest
Thanks Rogene! I'm hanging in there! It's funny how you begin to think your not doing the right thing but in reality....you are! I know that since I took 4 Pearls this morning, that was too much. I will just have to itch a bit and only take a couple. Do it slowly.... Cherie > > Cherie, > > With fungal issues, things start subsiding pretty quickly once you hit the target. . . Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I'm one of those people who can't detox. I'm not sure if the reason why you itch is because the toxins are trying to come out through your pores, or because you've still got the implants in your body, or if you are like me where detoxing causes additional problems. I have multiple chemical sensitivity and thanks to Lynn I discovered that I become sensitive to foods or supplements because my body recognizes them as an invader and goes into fight mode. I can stagger foods and some supplements by taking them a few days a week instead of every day and that doesn't seem to be a problem, but I don't think I get the same benefits of those who can take certain foods and supplements on a daily basis. Guest guest
Hi Sis Yes, I have definitley have discovered I cannot detox, it has ruined me! I was told though it was very important to start trying to detox before explant. Maybe that should be advised very carefully. The thought of itching for the next 19 days is not settling well with me. I cry everyday now......it sucks! I had not realized how good I was actually doing until now. Cherie > > > > Hi Ladies! > > > > Not sure if anyone can help but this is my situation. Guest guest
Cherie, I am so sorry you are having such a tough time with detox. I didn't detox too much before explant - pretty much just changed my diet. Sounds like the liver detox was rough - I haven't tried that yet. I am a little scared of the herxing as well. Please drink lot of water to flush your body. I am sorry I don't have more advice - I am by no means an expert on the detox. Hugs and prayers, Lynn Re: Any suggestions? Guest guest
Cherie, Epsom salts baths don't bother me and that's a gentler way of detoxing. A healthy diet is crucial, too. While I haven't switched to 100% organic, I do use organic milk and I pick up organics when I can. Also, I stay away from household cleaning products because they make me sick, even two years after explant. I'm sorry your experiencing this terrible itching - I think it will ease up in time but it's got to be awful. Guest guest
Cherie, I would suggest seeing an allergist. They might be able to give you something to calm your system and stop the itch. I'm sorry you are miserable. I know what this is like since I have had reactions like this to different things. Is there anything else that could be continuing to set this off? I suddenly became allergic to pool chemicals and then later to all fingernail products... when I still had my implants. Chemical sensitivities are not uncommon for many of us. > > Hi Ladies! > > Not sure if anyone can help but this is my situation. Ever since I > tried detoxing last month, I have been itching. Guest guest
Cherie, I would see a naturopath. Less toxins to put into your system would be best. Guest guest
Cherie, Have you went to an allergist yet? If the detoxing caused this, I would think it would have passed by now since you stopped detoxing. I was nervous before surgery too but it turned out great. Dr. Huang took good care of me. You'll go to sleep and wake up so fast you won't even know you had surgery. I am so sorry you are dealing with the itching. Do you have a rash too? Do you itch everywhere? If it were me, I would go to the doctor. Hugs and prayers, Lynn Any suggestions? Hi ladies,I am still in the vicious circle of itching and horrible sinus pain. I am in need of some help or suggestions. I am discovering that the Prontix was not the problem, no matter what I take.....I itch. I take a pain pill for my sinus's, vitamins, eat and even drink water, I itch. I still have swollen turinates in my nose since I tried to detox, the anti-fungal cream has not helped. The swolleness has not gone down at all. All I do know is that while I was on the diet and taking caprylic acid (one month ago), I began to itch (not as bad as now and figured it was part of detoxing) and the inside of my nose swelled up. My nose swelling up really concerned me so I stopped. I stopped taking caprylic acid, I thought maybe that was causing this....but even after a month of not taking it....no relief what so ever. I am worried about what the anesthesia is going to do to me on the 13th....beginning to worry about having surgery. I am trying some hyrocortizone for my turbinates since the anti-fungal cream and neosporim didn't work. I am just trying everything right now out of total frustration. I am trying to just leave this all to God and been praying for a long time now for relief, a direction, a breakthrough. ...but I am only at a loss. It is sooo difficult to do this when your itching all the ime. I thought detoxing would help me but it has just messed me all up. Detoxing is something that I am very fearful at this point. It's funny how you think your helping yourself and doing the right thing.....only to discover that you've screwed everything up. I am in hopes that surgery will actually make a difference. Thanks for listening to me...Cherie
Guest guest
Hi Lynn, No, I do not a have any rashes and I itch all over. Going to my currect doctor is a waste of time. He is useless!! I am changing my primary care but it isn't effective until Dec. 1st. I have an HMO that requires a referral and since I leave for Denver in a week, I won't be able to get into see an allergist before that. I saw a allergist a few years back and he was usuless also. He put me on allergy shots that caused me to break into rash patches all over my body. All he could tell me was that I was allergic to everything he tested me for. I'm do not have trust in doctors right now. I will wait and see how I do after surgery and then go from there. I went to my doctors office about 3 weeks ago about my nose and saw the nurse practitioner and all she told me was to put neosporm on it. See what I mean? Guest guest
I do see Cherie. I have had the same experiences with my doctors!! My faith has faultered with medical care!! I don't even mention my implants anymore now that they are gone because if i do it confuses the hell out of the doctor - messes the whole visit up. I hope you can find a natural doctor when you get explanted, I think they will be able to offer better help. You are in my prayers!! I do hope that this itching goes away with the awful implants. Guest guest
Thanks Patty, Ya know, I tried a liver detox a couple of weeks ago and OMG, I itched even worse! I'm a bit leary of trying anything with regards to my liver. I am in hopes that the explant will help. Hugs to you! Guest guest
Yes Rogene....I'm wild alright! I have never been normal. When I was a teenager in the " 80 " s, I would itch horrbly after I took a shower. My doctor at the time finally figured out that it was my birth control pills. He had never heard of anyone allergic to them.....but I was! I am one to have unusal things happen to them, I think that's why my mother is not too surprised over my implant illness. If it's bizarre, she know's I'll get it. Hugs to you! Cherie > > Cherie, > > You have the wildest case of reacting I've ever heard of! . . . Guest guest
Sorry , if everyone covered this, I'm catching up on email, but I don't think the biologics are metabolized in the liver b/c they're not ingested. I could be wrong, though. Anyone else know the skinny? [ ] any suggestions? I have liver disease and can not take the miracle drugs. I was on plaquenal for 18 months and developed severe rashes and itching. I went on sulfasalazene and needed to stop it today. Developed intense skin rashes and itching . I am allergic to all narcotics, same symptoms. Must I allow this disease to progress or is there something else to try? My Doctor is wonderful but fears my reactions to drugs. <!-- #ygrp-mkp{ border:1px solid #d8d8d8;font-family:Arial;margin:14px 0px;padding:0px 14px;} #ygrp-mkp hr{ border:1px solid #d8d8d8;} #ygrp-mkp #hd{ color:#628c2a;font-size:85%;font-weight:bold;line-height:122%;margin:10px 0px;} #ygrp-mkp #ads{ margin-bottom:10px;} #ygrp-mkp .ad{ padding:0 0;} #ygrp-mkp .ad a{ color:#0000ff;text-decoration:none;} --> <!-- #ygrp-sponsor #ygrp-lc{ font-family:Arial;} #ygrp-sponsor #ygrp-lc #hd{ margin:10px 0px;font-weight:bold;font-size:78%;line-height:122%;} #ygrp-sponsor #ygrp-lc .ad{ margin-bottom:10px;padding:0 0;} --> <!-- #ygrp-mlmsg {font-size:13px;font-family:arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif;} #ygrp-mlmsg table {font-size:inherit;font:100%;} #ygrp-mlmsg select, input, textarea {font:99% arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif;} #ygrp-mlmsg pre, code {font:115% monospace;} #ygrp-mlmsg * {line-height:1.22em;} #ygrp-text{ font-family:Georgia; } #ygrp-text p{ margin:0 0 1em 0;} #ygrp-tpmsgs{ font-family:Arial; clear:both;} #ygrp-vitnav{ padding-top:10px;font-family:Verdana;font-size:77%;margin:0;} #ygrp-vitnav a{ padding:0 1px;} #ygrp-actbar{ clear:both;margin:25px 0;white-space:nowrap;color:#666;text-align:right;} #ygrp-actbar .left{ float:left;white-space:nowrap;} ..bld{font-weight:bold;} #ygrp-grft{ font-family:Verdana;font-size:77%;padding:15px 0;} #ygrp-ft{ font-family:verdana;font-size:77%;border-top:1px solid #666; padding:5px 0; } #ygrp-mlmsg #logo{ padding-bottom:10px;} #ygrp-reco { margin-bottom:20px;padding:0px;} #ygrp-reco #reco-head { font-weight:bold;color:#ff7900;} #reco-grpname{ font-weight:bold;margin-top:10px;} #reco-category{ font-size:77%;} #reco-desc{ font-size:77%;} #ygrp-vital{ background-color:#e0ecee;margin-bottom:20px;padding:2px 0 8px 8px;} #ygrp-vital #vithd{ font-size:77%;font-family:Verdana;font-weight:bold;color:#333;text-transform:upp\ ercase;} #ygrp-vital ul{ padding:0;margin:2px 0;} #ygrp-vital ul li{ list-style-type:none;clear:both;border:1px solid #e0ecee; } #ygrp-vital ul li .ct{ font-weight:bold;color:#ff7900;float:right;width:2em;text-align:right;padding-ri\ ght:.5em;} #ygrp-vital ul li .cat{ font-weight:bold;} #ygrp-vital a{ text-decoration:none;} #ygrp-vital a:hover{ text-decoration:underline;} #ygrp-sponsor #hd{ color:#999;font-size:77%;} #ygrp-sponsor #ov{ padding:6px 13px;background-color:#e0ecee;margin-bottom:20px;} #ygrp-sponsor #ov ul{ padding:0 0 0 8px;margin:0;} #ygrp-sponsor #ov li{ list-style-type:square;padding:6px 0;font-size:77%;} #ygrp-sponsor #ov li a{ text-decoration:none;font-size:130%;} #ygrp-sponsor #nc{ background-color:#eee;margin-bottom:20px;padding:0 8px;} #ygrp-sponsor .ad{ padding:8px 0;} #ygrp-sponsor .ad #hd1{ font-family:Arial;font-weight:bold;color:#628c2a;font-size:100%;line-height:122%\ ;} #ygrp-sponsor .ad a{ text-decoration:none;} #ygrp-sponsor .ad a:hover{ text-decoration:underline;} #ygrp-sponsor .ad p{ margin:0;} o{font-size:0;} ..MsoNormal{ margin:0 0 0 0;} #ygrp-text tt{ font-size:120%;} blockquote{margin:0 0 0 4px;} ..replbq{margin:4;} --> ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
I have been told that drugs that alter the immune system can allow the hepatitis to run amuck. There is a rebound issue and the liver disease increases. The hepatitis is from my mother and world war 2 (believe it or not). My body has developed immunities. They fear I will die from liver disease if I use humira or the others. I have latent hepatitis A and B. Two Doctors have told me they would rather see me 90 and alive in a wheel chair than deceased. I just wondered if anyone else has serious liver problems and if they found solutions. The RA issues are becoming very, very challenging. To date after a year or so I become quite allergic to every drug I take. Therefore Dr's claim I am most likely to experience the most side effects. thank You Fair <kalfoley@...> wrote: Sorry , if everyone covered this, I'm catching up on email, but I don't think the biologics are metabolized in the liver b/c they're not ingested. Guest guest
If you apply for disability go to _www.allsup.com_ (http://www.allsup.com) they are great to deal with and I don't think they are as expensive as an attorney. Check it out. I know the frustration. I was a teacher and now suffer with the MCS. I can't even stand next to someone in a store with perfume on. Had a service tech here a few weeks ago to check our dishwasher by the time he left I was very sick. The smell of tobacco on his clothes left me sick through the following day. Next yr. I'll be sure request a nonsmoker to service my appliances. I know I couldn't work anywhere but from home. Even it I tutored from home people bring different odors with them. My own brother walks in the house with his clothes drenched with Tide which give me a HORRIBLE headache. I would be wonderful if the world was fragrance free. I've even heard of some high schools and workplaces that forbid fragrances. Hi, My name is le and I've been dealing with toxic mold since my landlord neglected to fix the roof. Lately, it's just gotten really overwhelming. I am seeing a doctor that I hope may be able to help and the whole legal thing with the lawyer isn't easy either. In any case, I have moved to the drier climate of Los Angeles and am trying to get my life back together. I went through a lot of effort to find work and currently teach dance and work at a coffee shop. I am currently looking for more teaching and/or writing jobs, but it hasn't been easy to find something right away. I would really like to quit my coffee shop job. I like the people, but the place.....chemicalsplace.....chemicals<WBR>, dust, mold or whatever very ill. I can't be in a place where the door isn't open or in a place with carpet....and even then, I can still get sick. I am so sensitive and I don't know what to do. I am so frustrated. I just don't want to go to work to be sick anymore. I have been trying to look for work options, but I feel ill a lot. I'm also trying to figure out what options I might have since I am so limited. Dancing has helped me so much through this, but I've been so frustrated and impatient to get out of my current situation. A friend of mine suggested applying for disability, so I'm thinking about that option. What does everyone else do for work out of curiousity? Any suggestions? Thanks and best wishes to you all:) **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch " Cooking with Tyler Florence " on AOL Food. Guest guest
if your still able to work and damce, you have a lot still in your favor, get a job somewhere that has very clean air if you can find one as the condiction seems to continue to get worse if you dont take immediate actions to avoid many chemical's exc. not just mold. a doctor cant help you much if your still exposeing yourself to things that are aggervateing your condiction. avoidance is very important too. Guest guest
Hi, Sorry to here of all your troubles. I can't believe you are still able to dance! I used to be a gymnast and dancer and since my exposure I have so much pain, I'm unable to dance anymore and miss it like crazy. I've also been out of work since 2003 and have applied for disability but just to warn you it is not easy to get and it takes a long time. My case is still pending after five years and probably won't resolve until next year. The average time, estimated, to get disability is five to seven years. So, I'm not sure if that would be a good option for you or not? It sounds like you are in the same position as a lot of us here, are. There's not a lot you can do. Most of us are unable to work at all because we are too sick. So if you are still able to work even part time then you're probably not as bad off but I can say that you are in the right place to get information and support. Wish there was more positive answers for you but wish you all the best. Dana
Guest guest
I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, Sue. Social Security Disability (SSD) is a horribly long process. Have you applied for Supplemental Security Income (SSI)? That one will sometimes go through quicker than SSD. You can find the application for that at the ssa.gov website, too. SSI is based on your household income. I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep us posted. We care..... Doreen Last Nov I found out that my drs office hadn't sent medical records in like requested so my disability payments were put on hold. So I haven't been paid since then because it has been so hard getting everyone on the same page. So everything was turned in last Tuesday. Last Thurseday I heard back from the review. I was denied. I was heart broken until I realized the most important visits to the dr wasn't sent to the Insurance company to review, now I am pissed. I am going to loss everything!!! My house, everything. I will have to fins homes for my pets and place for my daughter and I to live. Just because the medical records person is imcompantent. I have had no money since Nov, No bills have been paid. I have lost my COBRA coverage because it wasn't paid today. I have been eating just because my parents bought us food. I have an appointment with a lawyer and do plan on appealling but that will take 45 days just for insurance company to make a decision. So by the time they make a decision I will have been on the streets for a month. Does aanyone have any suggestion. I did go sign up for food stamps and medicaid, so I will have food and medicine but nothing else. You might see if they have anyone in your area who is looking for housing (which would help you keep your house) or looking for a housemate. J. Guest guest
Sue, First, feel free to email me privately with any questions you may have. I highly recommend Carolyn Magure's website for applying for Social Security Disability. She also has extensive writings on the " But You Don't Look Sick " Boards in both the Social Security and Working forums. The website is www.BDYLS.com/boards page down and click on Social Security area. There are about 25 sticky postings from Carolyn on the in's and out's of a successful SS disability application. Important for you. There is also information on Long Term Disability insurance, and how to deal with problems like you are having. There are solutions. It may involve getting a attorney. But do not feel like it can not be fixed. So, correct me if I am wrong, but the problems you are having is with Long Term Disability Insurance, not SSDI? I am surprised that your insurance company did not insist that you apply for Social Security Disability! If you haven't already applied you need to do that ASAP! Done correctly it should not take years for a application to be approved. Mine only took 2 months. It's a matter on being able to give SSA what they need to make a positive determination. I have written several posted on this list, and you should be able to look them up. Now, each State should have a Insurance Ombudsman, or at least some sort of Overview of Insurance to help consumers with problems with their insurance company. I know the one in California and am fairly good and tracking down who to go to in just about any other State. I am appauded for you for the way the insurance company (and your doctor's office) is treating you!
Guest guest
I'd talk to an attorney to see if you can sue the doctor for damages because his office failed to provide complete and correct medical records in a timely manner. - > > Last Nov I found out that my drs office hadn't sent medical records in like requested so my disability payments were put on hold.
