Guest guest
Dena, I for one need to continue hearing from you as our moms are near the same place in this journey from what I can gather. You have been kind and supportive, just what I needed when I joined the group. I too was tempted to pack it in, but decided I need people like you too much to let this support go simply because of computer etiquette. I for one would rather read correspondence leading up to a reply and find replies to snips redundant and choppy to read. So I am going to stay and do things my way etiquette or not. Please do the same. By the way, Mom's Tylenol has had to be upped to 1 g 3 times a day for pain, likely in an old shoulder replacement. It's hard to say where the pain is coming from or if she is crying on morning care because that is all she can do now. She can't fight back anymore. She is so rigid. I question if there might be a fracture from the huge bruise and swelling in her elbow she received 3 weeks ago to the arm that is affected, but don't know how she could even be xrayed with her rigidity and contractures. There is debate about putting her on a longer acting pain medication simply to hold her longer, into morning care, with the realization that could bring her down even more mentally. Her comfort is of utmost concern right now though. , Oakville Ont. Mom 92, 12 1/2 years " Parkinsons " 3 1/2 years ago LBD diagnosis, evident much longer in hindsight.
