Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestions, - I am not good at asking people to do things/coordinating them - but I will see what I can work out. What was your mother's experience after this stage ? How long did she continue to attempt to talk, do for herself, etc ? My mum still wants to dress nicely, shop for clothes - but then doesn't coordinate the outfit properly. She also has problems of other residents walking into her room and taking her clothes - not realizing that it is not their room or their clothes. She has a key to her room ( a lot of the patients don't) - but now forgets to lock the door. It is so frustrating to find clothes missing every time I visit. Eventually - weeks later - the missing items usually turn up - but she certainly does not have peace of mind. A lot of what I seem to need to do is just dammage control - and not much of actually improving her situation.
