Guest guest
Barb, This is a great article. Since I continue to deal with problems with family members about perfumes and other chemical smells that set me off I wish they and many others would get these facts through their thick heads. The comparrison to second hand smoke is brilliant. as a smoker and a family of smokers this is not going to make any impact on them but what the most of people, (my mom) in peticular does not understand, or believe is that when there is a strong perfume put on in one part of the house and it is carried through the air and the air condition system it ends up in my room which we have spent a multutude of time and dollars to try to keep these smells and things out of. Those unaffected by chemical odors or a toxin illness, and I am suspecting those (possabily my own family members) who are affected and in complete denial just dont seem to cair one bit about the others around them. Again, much like a smoker just does not, for the most part, understand how stinky and unhealthy it is for those who dont smoke. I can say that because as a smoker and a sufferer of MCS I am burdened with the habbit although I am keenly aware of its nasty smell, taste and am very uncomfortable and conceious of this when I go into the public. My hope is that this will be the key that will eventually break my habbit. But again that was a great example... Chris...
