Guest guest
--- Hi Missy, I would love to know more about what you have going on in NY and any guidance you may have for someone who wants to get more politically involved. I live in California. Thanks and good luck to you in your efforts. Patti Morton Folsom, CA mortongang@...

Guest guest
Thanks for the kind notes Patti and (also). I'm doing a little more work on the political angle and will update the list as soon as that is more " definite " . I should say that my intention was to just go to WC court and I was so very sick that I didn't know it would all blow up into this - but after more than a year after I left my employer for medical reasons related to the bldg that got me sick, I started to get phone calls at home from people who worked there who I never met who were sick and didn't know what to do....and I said ENOUGH of my old employer getting away with this! I was losing sleep knowing how sick these people were in the bldg and couldn't understand how they weren't! So I went to the local newspaper. Took them 5 hours of interviews before they believed it was front page news...and then it has just spiraled. We got to a local legislator and it has been crazy (in a good way) since then. Give me a little more time and I'll be able to update you on what I'm trying to do in NY. Meanwhile, please continue to send good thoughts/ energy this way - we're trying to move some mountains here and it isn't easy. I'm tired and had a physical set back last week...but I'm sure the long holiday weekend will be the best medicine! > > --- Hi Missy, > I would love to know more about what you have going on in NY and > any guidance you may have for someone who wants to get more politically > involved. Guest guest
I didn't get to see it, can you see the video today. I tried but it was blank. --- In , Missy Gluckmann <mopsyj77@...> wrote: > > Here is the link to tonight's broadcast - 11 pm on CBS in the metro NYC area. Very cool - especially since the President had to say " no comment " on camera! We had a big win at the legislative meeting - the county lawyer pretty quickly spoke to say that the college (as of yesterday) had hired an environmental consulting firm out of PA to advise them on what to do/testing. They " promised to follow the recommendations of this company " . The legislature has added the topic to a standing committee, so they will follow through and we are making sure that we have the ability to have a 2nd opinion on whatever the findings are. While the bldg was not closed tonight, there is certainly enough out there for workers to ask to be moved if not feeling well - and hopefully they will advocate for themselves.
